When we first moved to Ojai, we didn't know anybody so we asked one of our new neighbors if they could recommend any house painters and home renovation companies as we needed a lot of home improvements done to make our home really liveable. McKay's Painting had just finished a commercial painting job for our neighbor and they couldn't stop raving about how professional and what an excellent job Brad and his team had done on the flood damage restoration, drywall repair and finish, custom wall coverings and exterior painting of their office. After we spoke with Brad and confirmed that he was indeed an insured, licensed painting contractor, we hired him to do various home remodeling projects around our house starting with termite repair and dry rot repair of our decks and porches plus new deck staining and sealing, a new back deck and patio cover, wallpaper stripping and removal in our dining room (it was a hideous pattern), and finally all of the tape and texture, interior painting, crown molding and baseboard, wood staining and kitchen cabinet installation during our kitchen remodel. We are going to call them back soon for some more outside improvements - power washing, fence staining and fascia and trim repair. We have no doubt this future work will be performed to the same high standard we have come to expect from McKays. We just wanted to thank you again, the Fleming Family.

Best licensed painters in all of Santa Barbara! We came across McKay's house painting company online when we were looking for a residential painting contractor to do the exterior painting on our home. They did an expert painting finish so we called them back for flood damage restoration after our master bathroom flooded. They did all of the drywall repairs and a really professional faux painting finish that looked a lot better than the previous texture and finish as part of the bathroom remodel. When we do our kitchen renovation next Spring, McKay's are the only painting company we would even consider calling. We have even referred them to my husbands boss the commercial painting of his body shop. 5 Stars!

McKay's Painting are the best residential painters and the most expert commercial painting contractors! The Sharple family has been using them for decades for all of our office and house painting projects and maintenance. It's reassuring knowing that they are licensed painters who are so experienced and professional. They have done small jobs for us like cabinet wood staining and wallpaper removal for our kitchen remodel and also the drywall repair, drywall finishing and interior painting when my son punched a whole in the wall! Bigger jobs have included the flood damage restoration we needed a couple of years ago. There was a lot of drywall damage and we needed new baseboard molding too. We also have them come out every year for power washing and exterior painting of our office. Our building is often the first thing our clients see so we need to make a good impression and McKay's does it for us!

We hold McKay's Painting in the highest regard. My wife first called them to do all of the wallpaper removal, drywall installation and finishing, texture and interior painting during our kitchen and bathroom remodeling projects. We were looking for a residential painting company that had licensed and insured painters and could come right away! McKays fit the bill. They did such a professional job on all the house painting that we called them for the commercial painting contracting of our office building as well. Brad and his team did the power washing that was needed for all of the old peeling paint removal and then did an expert job on the exterior painting. A couple of months after that we had a fire at the office. The fire damage and subsequent water damage (from putting out the fire) was extensive but McKays came to the rescue once again, doing all of the drywall, new paint, baseboard installation and dry rot repair. We plan to call them again for more home painting work, like deck termite repair and fence staining. A big thanks once again, the Eyring's.

Me and my husband just bought a house in Ventura and we were looking for a licensed residential painting company for pressure washing prep and paint. One of our new neighbors recommended McKay's Painting. We called and were impressed by how friendly and professional they were on the phone. We scheduled a time for the house painters to come out to give us an estimate on the exterior painting and deck refinishing as it appeared to have some deck rot. McKay's Painting showed up when they said they would and the estimate they gave us to paint the outside of our home was so affordable, we plan on having them come back real soon for interior painting too!

We hired McKays residential painting contractors initially for some interior painting and drywall repairs after my kitchen got flooded and I needed water damage restoration anyway. They did a fantastic job! I had wanted to do a kitchen remodel but didn't have the funds but after McKays did some expert wallpaper stripping, wall painting, cabinet staining and wood floor refinishing as part of the restoration work, it looked brand new and I didn't have to go to the expense of new cabinets and floors like I had feared! The finishing touches like new casing and baseboard really set it off nicely. I changed the wall color after I saw it in the kitchen for the first time and the licensed painters weren't phased at all. I was so impressed I called them back out for the exterior house painting of my home last summer. I was really surprised at all the prep work involved and the thorough power washing that removed the old flaking paint on the fascia and trim. My deck has a lot of dry rot and needs termite repair so I'm thinking about having them come back out in the spring for that and maybe a new patio cover too. Several of my neighbors in Ventura requested their contact info and I am happy to pass it on.

I had McKay's Painting Service out twice to paint exterior and interior areas of my home. Both times the residential painters did an excellent job and charged a fair price. Brad is easy to work with and the house painting contractor crews do meticulous, detail oriented work. The first job was sanding and painting the wood exterior of my Thousand Oaks home. Most painting companies I spoke with never even came out to quote the job and those that did were reluctant to do the work. McKay's gave me a competitive quote and did a spectacular job on the paint preparation, painting and clean up. The second job was painting a garage, a bathroom and exterior stucco. I was pressed for time, but the house painters worked around my busy schedule. At one point the scope of the job changed and they did great work adjusting in a timely manner despite my last minute requests!
